1. About the client
NEXON DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE 2025 is the developer conference hosted by Nexon, a major game publisher. The 2025 edition ran as a hybrid event at Nexon HQ from June 24 to 26, 2025 and brought together about 3,000 developers, game professionals, and Nexon employees. Nexon handles sensitive information under strict internal policies, so a standard networking tool was not an option.
2. Why they came to Umoh
Nexon employees and external guests would share one networking space. Corporate security ruled out an open sign-up with no verification step, yet approved participants still had to find and message each other freely, and joining had to feel easy. Security alone was not the goal. The organizers also needed proof that people would actually use the platform.
3. What they used
1) Domain-restricted authentication
Umoh built a custom email authentication module for the event. Nexon employees could join only with a verified company email domain, and they onboarded in one click with no extra sign-up steps. Corporate security approved the flow.
2) Pre-approval and tiered access
The host pre-approved external guests and gave them tailored access controls. Only approved participants could enter the networking pages, so access followed Nexon's internal policy while internal and external attendees could still reach each other.
3) 1:1 business matchmaking
Internal and external participants could meet, chat, and schedule meetings freely. Matchmaking connected Nexon staff with outside developers and speakers.
4) Real-time operations dashboard
Organizers tracked activity, approval flows, and live engagement metrics such as chat response rate during the event. The same numbers doubled as material for internal reporting.

Over the three-day event, chat interactions reached an 80% response rate across all attendees.
